W&N watercolour on Bockingford 300gsm
This used to be one of my favourite outfits. Unfortunately the jacket is all frayed on the cuffs and my little red pumps have seen better days! I find it really difficult to find nice jackets. South Africa is never really cold enough for anything too thick, and this cotton one with a satin lining was just perfect.

IThis is such a charming painting! You portrayed a perfect little story here, with soft lines and colors. Very nicely done! About the jacket, It's just getting good if it's starting to fray on the edges. That's chic! I'll take it, if you don't want it anymore. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha! My grand-daughter said the same thing Katherine, so I still wear it every so often! Thank you for your lovely words, love it when you visit!
DeleteCharming is the word, yes!! So enjoyable to read your blogs Maree.
ReplyDeleteAah, thank you Liz! and ditto!
DeleteCute sketch, Maree. Yes, I am like you, when a favourite piece becomes very old and shabby, I always regret not having bought several at the time!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie. Yes, that's something I also always do and I did buy two, but the other one I gave away when the colour became "unfashionable", which is fashionable again now! Regret that very much!
