Shhh… germination in progress. Can you hear the swish of the brush, dipping, dipping into water, gathering colour from the palette? That's the process of planting flowers in my watercolour garden. *•.¸ðŸŒ¿¸.•*

Little Green Patch in Tarlton
This little green patch on a hillock caught my eye as we drove past the other evening on the way to Magaliesburg, the sunset casting a golden glow on the distant fields. I did this sketch from memory once we got home.
Hi Maree, well captured! There is nothing nicer than staring out of the car window when you are in the passenger seat and just taking in. It was the favourite passtime of the great Henry Moore, driving and taking it in. I am also putting together a 'window shopping' set of pictures, will tell you about it when it is done.
Thank you Marie, and I've got a few of them - I find myself looking at the world with new eyes, seeing colour, shapes and contrast like never before ever since I started sketching daily from April this year. My memory also seems to be able to keep the scene longer in my mind, and I can easily draw from it.

ReplyDeleteMaire, looking forward to seeing your "window shopping" series!
