It's turned into an exceptionally hot summer with lots of rain, and heat, combined with humidity, is the death of me! So I'm already dreaming of cooler Autumn days, my favourite season of the year.

The Muse

Like a disappearing fish 

or a bird in full flight - 

the muse, 

in an element of her own is jealous of freedom.

Playing with colour, no matter what the outcome,  is freedom at its best. We are, well, I am, can be, so taken in by the outcome of a painting, fretting over it, sometimes too scared to put a mark on a pristine white paper, that we lose all perspective and the feeling of the process, the total joy of creating, no matter what the outcome.

Enjoy the process and stop focusing on the end result. Focus on enjoying the process, because that is where 90% of our life is lived.
